The Agri-Food processing and packaging center will have state-of-the-art equipment and facilities for processing and packaging various agricultural products, such as cereals, fruits, and vegetables. The project is funded by GIZ through the ECOWAS Regional Stabilization and Development Fund (RSDF). The project is divided into two components, the construction of the Agri-Food processing and packaging center and the soft component which is the curriculum development for the Agri-Food processing and packaging center, as well as the capacity development for GTHI staff.
The center will also provide technical assistance and support services to small and medium-sized enterprises in the agri-food processing sector, helping them to improve their production processes and increase their competitiveness in the market, it will create job opportunities and boost the agri-food processing sector.
The Agri-Food processing and packaging center is an important part of ECOWAS' efforts to promote economic development and stability in the region by supporting the growth of the agri-food processing sector.
